Substation Automation Projects
Broadhead Construction has extensive experience in automating transformer alarms and tap changer controls in multiple locations across Saskatchewan. These projects included various installations from design, new ducting installations, cable pulls, wiring of RIO's, and installation of tap changer control switches.
Switch Maintenance
Broadhead Construction has assisted in maintenance of high voltage switches. This work consists of cleaning, inspecting and timing switches.
Ground Grid Installation and Repair Projects
Broadhead Construction has performed many ground grid installations. These installations have included trenching, installing ground rods, cad-welding connections, fence grounding, and back filling.
Cable Tray Installation
Broadhead Construction installs stainless steel and aluminum cable tray systems across a range of sizes, built to engineered specifications or designed in the field to meet site requirements.
Cable Trench and Ducting
Broadhead Construction installs cable trench and pull boxes, taking care that proper slope and drainage is achieved. Various duct installations have also been completed, excavating in live stations. These installations include various size ducting and cable trenches at various depths.
Fence Installation
Broadhead Construction installs security fencing for substations and industrial sites across Western Canada. This work includes chain-link fencing, barbed wire topping, grounding of fence systems, and all associated civil work to ensure sites are secured to industry standards.
Site Remediation
Broadhead Construction has extensive experience in multiple site remediations. This work has consisted of trench repairs, pad repairs and new insulating rock installations.
Concrete Foundations
Broadhead Construction installs concrete piles and foundations as the customer needs.
